Genetic testing for deafness raises some important questions among deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. The research team of this study is composed of deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing individuals who have come together with the hopes to learn, with your help, how deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals feel about genetic testing for deafness.

This research is to seek further understanding of different perspectives towards genetic testing.

By going through the experience of genetic testing, deaf and hard-of-hearing people who share their experience will help us understand how genetic testing can impact deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Such project findings will enable deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to receive better services in genetic counseling in the future.
